The Garrett Museum of Art

OK - so it's not quite Guggenheim material, but I had fun. And isn't that what's really important?

A 30"x40" canvas, some joint compound, and a few spatulas...

...some craft acrylic and a paint brush...

...Voila! Mantle art!

(You'll have to come visit to get the full effect.)

Don't blink!

When did this...
become this?

It must have happened while we were having fun! It seems like such a seamless transition, but it happened so quickly. I must say to myself at least a dozen times every day, "Will we remember this? We have to remember this!" What a blessing it is to grow with our child. I hope and pray we are truly enjoying every single second of it.

The riches of God's grace

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. -Ephesians 1:7-8 (NIV)

This was our assurance of pardon a couple at church of Sundays ago. I haven't been able to stop marvelling over this verse, especially the part about God lavishing his grace upon us. I went to dictionary.com and read the definition of lavish today (definition #3 in particular). God's grace is a gift, exquisite and sumptuous, that we receive again and again and again. What wonderful and mysterious thought... God loves us enough to freely and unceasingly give us the treasure of his grace.

The trouble with Cheerios

It takes an immense amount of coordination to eat! I realize that as I watch Caroline struggle to get a Cheerio to her mouth. Determination! She'll get the hang of it: I can already see the wheels turning. Needless to say, Tigger is now extremely interested in whatever is happening in the highchair.

I see it and it looks tasty!

I'm really trying here...

Help me, Mom!

Interesting...

Oh...

Success!

Our blog

Welcome to our blog! Perhaps someday I'll get a free moment and create my own webpage. But the templates and convenience of Blogger make it a no-brainer!

It's probably a good thing I started this: my email was aborting my messages because I had too many people in my "to" field! I might not be as diligent about emailing you when we have new pictures and videos, so add us to your favorites if you're interested.

Be sure to leave us a comment every now and then: we love to hear from you! So...enjoy!
